Many, many years ago I caught a superb WW show at Slim's in San Francisco. I recall the between song patter as being extremely hilarious. At one point he said something to the effect of, "I know you're looking up here thinking this guy looks like some kind of cross between Lyndon Johnson and...", someone (or something) else. I remember spitting out my drink and nearly soiling myself, but I cannot for the life of me recall what the second part of that comparison was. I'm hoping that perhaps the Last of the Full Grown Men hisself might be able to refresh my memory? Thanks!

I don't know but, I'm pretty sure the second name was not Brad Pitt! Not that Brad was even a known commodity back then. David Byrne? Walter Brennan? I don't know but, I appreciate you still being in the "World of Wilder" these many years later and glad you enjoyed that show. Thanks for checkin' in. WW

You know what? I think it might well have been Walter Brennan. All I know is I just spit out my drink again.

Thanks, Webb. Keep on doing everything hard and wearing those glasses! jlb

P.S. Have you ever heard Walter Brennan's album, "Dutchman's Gold"? It's a classic!
