Great high energy show with lots of new material thrown in so, as Webb put it, "they could learn the material." LOL. The new songs are really really good.
The poor guys were crammed in with three bands worth of equipment, but managed to find space and rocked it hard. They were LOUD too. I liked that considering the small venue. The power tubes were definitely hot. My only beef was the soundman did you no favors, Webb. He had it EQed too high for some reason. At least to my ears.
And Tom wins with his new bling bass. That is as flecked as Flake's Dano Hodad. But cool. Bob, were you borrowing stuff or do you not use the Dr. Z anymore? You sounded as good as usual esp on the strat. Jimmy, how in the world does one have the stamina to pound that finish to "Baby Please Don't Go" after almost an hour and a half of straight playing?
Great job guys! Can't wait for the new album.

Being behind the mains as we are, we never know what it sounds like out front but, it sounded better than usual as per Smith's onstage. Thanks for all the kind words. Glad you liked the new material. We'll try to get the record out in late April. Thanks so much to everyone who came. Look forward to seeing more "Wilderians" in Johnson City this coming weekend. Best. WW

The only three songs I know of from the upcoming CD are Pretty Is, She Won't Come Around and the cover of JuJu Man.

I just got my head wrapped around firing up some of my old Fender amps lately and have been dragging one of my Bandmaster heads around . But you're partly correct, I did "borrow" that Bassman head that I was playing through from Webb! Thanks for being there!!! BW

I was so glad that I got to share you with my daughter for a second time. (I can't even count how many times I've heard y'all.) I have to admit tho that it was a bit loud and the vocals get a little distorted. I know the words to the old songs but for a newbie, like my daughter, it's hard to understand what you're singing. I guess I need to bring her to an acoustic show.
That actually was the first time I heard Bob. (I've been in SD) Hopefully it won't be the last. (What happened to Tony?) Tom, I love the new guitar. It's amazing how you can look like you're still enjoying what you're doing after all these years. Jimmy, I absolutely love watching you. If I were going to be a groupie, I'd definitely be following you. Webb, what can I say? I never get tired of hearing you or watching you perform. You are so unique!!!! I wish I could go on the cruise, but I need to win the lottery first. Have fun! And thanks, guys, for rocking my night!!!!
