Friday is my birthday but I can't make the DH scene. But I'll be there Saturday night to celebrate another year of Webbishness. . .

Hope to see a lot of my old Wilderian friends. . .

Hi, Garland! Tony and I will be there both nights--and we will have at least 10 new Wilderians in tow for the shows. Tony is bringing a couple of buddies from the railroad and their wives and his sister, Stacey, and her husband, Stacy (yeah, the only difference in their names is the old "e", so it won't be difficult for anybody to remember their names!), and I am bringing my pals Rebecca and Sarah who both teach at Battle. Then Mike who also teaches at Battle and his wife, Sandy, should be joining us. I suppose you remember Michelle who came to the Coffee Pot with me that time? She and her husband and son plan to be there as well. I don't know exactly which nights everybody will be there, but Tony and I will be sure to introduce everyone around--the Saturday attendees--so that you can meet them and so they can meet our buddy Garland as well. Tony and I are going to win the prize for bringing in the most converts. We sing the praises of WW & BTNX to everyone and at every chance we get. Garland, have a great b-day on Friday, and we will see you and wish you additional birthday joys on Saturday.

Oh, boy! There's gonna be a FRANK sighting on Friday night! Hey, Frank, when you see Chris-sy, ask him about his and and Tony's day of riding little steam choo choos up and down the hills.

Susan, what time do you think y'all will get to the DH?

With all those Battle people around, it sounds like I better wear green and gold!

I told my son George that the only thing I want for my birthday is for him to go with me to see Webb. So I think he's coming in from college to ride shotgun. . .

I figured I had double-posted. The needle got stuck on my computer, and I lost patience and clicked again. Oh, well, no harm, no fowl (particularly gooses and pea hens).

This marks my very first Down Home experience to see Webb. I'll also be bringing a special early opening guest for the night - Dave Sutherland from Greenwich, England. We'll have Dave start earlier in the evening to keep Webb close to his 9pm start time, but I'd recommend getting there early to catch him. www.davesutherland.co.uk for some info on him. Can't stay for Sat., but I look forward to seeing some of you Friday night.

Wish we could be there, my last trip to The Down Home Louise, myself and Snake had a great time, I believe the opening set was acoustic, and there was at least one bearded btnk onstage.Everyone be sure to leave plenty of posts about the show and have a great time.

I did forget to mention that we are bringing our guard dog, Spanky, with us. If the Down Home doesn't allow protection animals (a schitzu) to attend the show he will guard our property at the Red Roof Inn.

Sorry to be missing this one ... I usually come on Fridays - but can't make either night due to prior commitments... would love to have seen Dave open up and get to see Ms. Brilliant again... I'll miss ya' Nancy - have to catch you next time.

By the way, Johnson City might be safer with Spanky in town - but I don't know about the doors where he'll be staying.

A 40 inch fire door, that meets handicap specs, I could stagger through a hole that wide very easily in my delicate state,It's 6:30 am I've been up for 40 hours, insomnia does weird things , but the sight of a tiny dog ripping through a 40 inch fire door has sent into a laughing fit, thanks Tater I needed a good laugh, you guys enjoy the show.

Tater that would be great, I'm starting to get a handle on these cancer treatments, I just wish I were at the point where I could travel.Did you know that insomnia is like going to disneyland without ever leaving home?

Hey Gonzo, we're mighty happy to hear from you. Sounds like you're doing OK except for the insomnia. From what you told us in Asheville we thought you might be in pretty bad shape by this time.

Hoping to be there on Friday -- I have to work so I'll be getting a later start than I'd like -- but it's better than missing it for sure. Thank you Susan for saving me a seat. Depending on traffic and how my trip goes I may just come straight there...wonder how late they'll let you check in at the RR?

Well doesn't look like anyone has reported yet -- I MADE IT on Friday night afterall... I didn't get there til after the acoustic set and intermission -- but just in time for the Rockin' electric set by Webb & the Boys. Everyone was on ... Webb was sounding good - even though he felt he was maybe losing the voice... it sure sounded strong to me - especially on the early songs. Tom the new sparkly bass and set up sounded fantastic... and as usual he rocked. Jimmy was really bangin' those skins - he even played renaissance fair drums on one of the new tunes - or at least that is what he called it ... looked cool, sounded cool and cracked us up when he described it afterwards. I thought Jimmy was going to tear the whole set down as he slammed an amazing finish to Baby Please Don't Go to close the show. Bob Williams is awesome - such an amazing addition to the Beatnecks - he smoked it again on Jimmy Reed and HooDoo Witch was a special adder to the lineup (sadly replacing my other Fav Slow Death - but a fair tradeoff). And so many other amazing solos to mention by him and Webb too.

Again, just happy things worked out that I could get there - walked in and saw Tony, Susan, Frank, Christina, Tater & Dolly, Nancy, Yardmaster.... and I'm sure I may have missed a few - great time guys good seeing everybody. Thanks to Tater, Dolly, Frank & Nancy for having me a seat down front - Especially to the Tater clan whom I had talked to earlier in the day and promised them if they saved me a spot I would be there. You guys are the best.

Hope to see everyone again soon.

So glad you could make it Eric -- it was wonderful to see everybody - Susan (and friends), Tony, Tater, Dolly, Nancy, ....Yardmaster I saw but didn't get to speak at & nice to finally meet the infamous Frank! Since I'm posting now I obviously didn't make the Sat show...very begrudged about that :(. I hear it was rockin! But -- since I had this spare time I got a couple vids from last nights show posted to youtube. No pix b/c my camera died last night...thx Friday the 13th...

Webb come back this way soon...pls!. As always -- you brought it down last night! Here's the proof :

Thanks for posting those Christina - missed the acoustic set so it was good to hear at least one tune -- you picked a good one to film. Once again great night - even though I only saw 1/2 of the show. Tater has all the set lists for Friday and most likely Saturday too ... I'm sure they'll post when they get back to the big city of Beaver, Ohio. Mike & Dori were coming to Saturday's show - they may have some video as well.

Thanks to everybody for the Birthday (or birthday) best wishes!

I made the Saturday night show with my son George (for this 4th Webb show) and our friend Kaleb (it was Kaleb's first Webb show). Rocked out with Tater, Dolly, Susan, Tony, Mike, Dori, and many other familiar faces.

Something funny happened on the way to see Webb. . . I was standing at the bar and a Lady Wilderian (who I did not know) said: "You're the guy who goes to all of these Webb Wilder shows and always drinks coffee". . . Now somebody's got me pegged. . .

I was very frustrated with my camera last night but was happily surprised to find that some of these shots came out good!
