Did anybody out there see the Chicago show?

Yes, Webb and the guys put on one great show. They played a lot of the new songs that are coming out in April(?), surrounded by the treasured classics. There was a great crowd as always, to which Webb responded to with Hybrid Vigor. Hunter posted my pics (Thanks Hunter). And as always, THANKS, Webb and the Beatnecks for a keeping the loving public entertained with quality music.

The show in Berwyn was indeed great, as was the show in Champaign the night before. The new material is wide-ranging - there's some knee-weakening bluesy stuff, some nice twingly poppy stuff, and some staight-up rockin' stuff. Webb sounded fantastic - no surprise there - and Tom and Bob and Jimmy were hitting on all eight. And I do believe Tom Comet has taken the prize for sparkliest instrument EVER away from Joe McMahan.

Well, thanks, guys. It felt like possibly one of the best shows we've ever done. I was beginning to wonder if anyone noticed! I am far from objective, though. Seemed like a real special night. thanks for comin'! WW
