Some new goodies have been added to the Webb Board over the course of the past week. Here's a summary:
1. You can now elect to sort the index pages so that topics with recent replies "bubbled up" to the top of the index pages. Some folks had recently indicated they would prefer things shown in this order. Members can choose which Index ordering will be used; simply edit your member profile and change the "preferred index sort style" setting. Guests visiting the Webb Board will continue to see things in the default order, which is by "Topic Started" date and time, with latest ones listed first.
2. Alas, with item #1 came a bug. The "Next/Previous Topic" links shown on the "View Topic" pages usually didn't reflect the new index ordering. This has now been fixed.
3. While working on #2 (see how these things snowball?) I had an insight on how to add a "back to Index Page #x" link on the view topic pages. This is something I've wanted from the start, and we finally have it. The new link is sitting happily alongside the existing 'go back to previous page' link after the posts table.
Hope you enjoy these new conveniences. Please report any bugs here.
Sincerely,
Yer pal Mike-o-matic
