I don't guess I have a "favorite" recording of any Christmas songs. But back in the late '80's when I was going to the Bluebird Cafe here in Nashville quite a lot, I went to one of their Christmas shows. Jimmy Hall (who's probably one of the most underrated vocalists in town), sang an acapella version of "O Holy Night" that brought the house down. That has to be my favorite performance ever of a Christmas song.

Wow movax, that's amazing. I used to go to the Bluebird all the time. Became friends with Vickie Carrico (because I went to about all her shows) and used to go see the Kingsnakes about every time they played. Did you ever see a band called The Nerve?

Yes, I remember them. I had met Danny Rhodes through a highskewl
buddy of mine that moved to Nashvegas to become rich and infamous.

That's weird, My buddy Dave emailed me something this year (cant remember when) and said Danny had died.

Did you ever make those shows at the Cannery with that Wilder guy in the Nudie suit, or Robin Trower, Hot Tuna, Jon Winter, etc?

I engineered a CD for my buddy Rafael this last year and he had Jaime Nichols (who used to play in the Nerve) on percussion. I think he mentioned that Danny was in bad health (this was last January). Man that was an incredible band.

Never made it to the Cannery (at least in those days). My first live Webb show was at the Exit/In in probably 1988.
