Well folks it's that time. In 2 hours and 5 minutes my Lovely wife will drive me to the VA Medical Center here in town for my first cancer treatment. I don't mind saying that i'm as frightened as a trembling Chihuahua in a pen full of hungry Dobermans. But what the hell these Dr's are professionals,right? So as my favorite writer once said, Buy the Ticket take the Ride. Indeed. I bought mine, the only difference being I bought a round trip. I'm coming back, stronger than before. I truly miss my BLT and Beer for breakfast. These days it's Diet Green Tea and fresh Pineapple. I'm listening to Tough it out, very incouraging, stimulates the central nervous system nicely. I'm looking forward to my next road trip, hopefully Down Home in February. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and stay in touch.

One of the nicest things about our visit to Asheville for WWIII was the chance to spend some time with you guys. Thank you for your friendship and for telling us about your situation. The road ahead for the next year will be tough, but the results will make it worth while.

Bill - you realize Snake passed the torch to you as the President of the Roanoke area WW Webbheads.... (I think Christina is the VP) .... so you've got too much work to do as the top dog in VA ... that means beat this thing so you can do your duties.

In other words hang tough my friend - I hope to see you again real soon... maybe we can hook up when you come down for the Johnson City show.... I won't be able to attend due to prior engagement both nights (I have to announce the FMF Indoor MX Series Finale in Morristown, TN those 2 nights) .... but it would be good to see you in Feb.

Hi Gonz
As someone who has been there 2 3/4 years ago, here are a couple of tips. Obviously I dont know your exact situation but always think positive. If you believe you will get through it, then you will. If you start listening to the scare stories, that can have a negative effect.
If its chemo you are getting, then make sure you eat. If you are having problems holding down a whole meal, then eat it over a longer period of time - but eat! (If you're the kind of person who does, then a wee bit 'smoke' can help.)
If its radio then make sure you drink plenty of water. I recommend 2 glasses before and another 2 immediately after. This does mean that you need the toilet a lot, but helps to flush out your system.

Remember, sleeping helps the body to heal. The body needs food to feed it. Water to flush out the system. Positive thinking to encourage the process.
