I got a call from Daniel B at JJ, a great gig spot in Northern Virginia. He asked what I thought about WW( and mentioned two dates in late January). Eventually, I ran out of accolades. Anything else I/we can do to bring this to fruition?

Where's JJ's? Never heard of it. What type of acts do they normally have there?

JJ is short for Jammin' Java, same place Webb played last year. Great venue - capacity of 200. Among others, I've seen Chuck Prophet, Bill Kirtchen, Cracker (acoustic), Eddie from Ohio, Citizen Cope, Brindley Brothers, Nighthawks, Leon Russell etc..
IOTA is great too. Both venues are advocates of original artists. I just happen to know the guys at JJ.
Nancy - just back in town, I'll forward Daniels' number this evening.
Best,

TommyLee - Those who attended will certainly remember and will look forward to the next one. Last years' gig was a little different - I was the sponsor ($)/promoter, and my band was the warm-up act. We play the venue 4-5 times per year and have a local draw. Management was inquiring as to Webb's potential draw as a standalone act. No suprise that bar management may not keep pristine attendance records and that "they all kinda run together when you have shows 7 days per week".
Best,

It's pretty cool that your band has a following! This may have come up before, but do you guys have a website or MySpace page?

I reckon its the all-ages shows. Every now and then you'll see someone on their menu that didn't get the memo ... Ian Hunter was there last Spring in between something like "Witches Blood" and "Dark Vengence".
TommyLee - I can assure you that Webb and crew left their mark! As for my band, luddites that we are - we have a very crappy website (facethefish.com). Fortunately, we're pretty good about e-mail blasting to our mail-list.

Really, they're not that great. | I think Jaxx has almost weeded out all the non-death metal bands. Tho this Friday is the annual return of the Road Ducks (understandable since the owner is the drummer in the band) But then the Road Ducks (who probably can best be described as Molly Hatchet mixed with Allman Brothers) plays again in January with a bunch of death metal bands opening. That's going to be an interesting night for the audience.
I've been looking for a great music club ever since Bayou closed it's doors.
