Subject: A financial plan for all to follow (a little levity)
If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today.

If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today.

But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for recycling refund, you will have received a $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink
heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg.

Enjoy!

Ken (who is looking at his 101-K plan!!)

What a great idea. Feel great, make some money for yourself, and help out the economy.
I think you are on to something here.

Priceless!

I guess our new retirement plan is to sit around all night with a scattergun to protect the old copper gutters on our house. Some lowlife scavenger tore the downspouts off the garage last month.

My wife and I were happy for 30 years. Then we met each other.

You'd THINK this might make me feel better (after all, my savings are not down 90+% as in some of those examples).

But it doesn't! Oh well, gotta take your lumps with your goodies, I guess.

By the way, be sure to cash in those cans soon! Commodities (including aluminum) are taking a drubbing lately right along with stocks, oil, etc.

I have to order supplies for the company I work for. I ordered some stuff about a month ago and it still hasn't gotten here. Turns out that they can't deliver because someone stole the catalytic converter off their delivery truck.
