Darn, Goober...yer right! "Live hard?' Never said it. BTW, I said "pull a song out of a hat INSTEAD of a rabbit" NOT "better'n a rabbit." I enjoyed talking to this man and appreciate the press I get but, just about all of it suffers from misquotes, editors and parapharasing of what I really said. On a brighter note, sometimes they mercifully leave OUT things I wish I hadn;t said! WW'

You cant be late till you show up.
You cant be late till you show up.
Least you can REMEMBER what you said. Some of us cant do that no more.
Do you ever have fun with these interview guys,
like talking in grunts and monosyllables that they cant understand, or telling big blatant lies, like you were the primairy writer of war and peas, or fun stuff like that?

No cuz if it's as hard for 'em as it seems to be, to get the TRUTH right, just think what havoc they might reek (reak?) gettin' a LIE wrong! WW

I thought that other than those mistakes the article really let people know what Webb was up to when he wasn't on the road or recording. Sort of seein' the forest and not the trees. Maybe the interviewer forgot the credo and hooked up on the thread about drinking and the credo. OOps! Or got confused with Lance Armstrong and the Live Strong campaign. Lets face it, most of the time the interviewers don't have a clue and are pulling things out of something other than a hat.

havoc you wreak

reek is scottish for a strong smell
eg. your baffies are reekin' = your slippers are smelling
can also be used in a message for good health
eg. lang may yer lum reek = long may your chimney smell / smoke
this is sometimes used as a toast (at weddings etc)

cheers
Colin
