It features a wide mahogany Tele-style neck, a P-90 neck pickup, a JB humbucker bridge pickup, Gretsch vibrato, and a really cool dark green metallic finish. I am proud to be the current owner of this fine instrument and iconic peice of Webbabilia.

I say this because I am a photographer, among other things. I know a lot of photodogs who know all about gear, but couldn't shoot a barn if it stood there.

It can be fretted as a one piece neck with no fretboard lamination. It is a one piece fretted Shedua neck. The neck was made by Schecter. Of course the headstock design is George's. This particular guitar features a solid mahogany body designed, carved, routed, bound and finished by George. Subsequent Rearviews (they're aren't many) had bodies that were manufactured by Tom Anderson to George's specifications. WW

I believe they were both tuned to open e. I consider myself the luckiest man on earth as I own the trap and a red model of the green one you are talking about. Played them last night. If I remember correctly there are 7 of the fins and only one trapezoid. George used to play a lighter green model but has sold it. Love Georges guitars.

I was totally blown away, but, as I was working as a newspaper photographer at that time, I was so busy I didn't have time to really enjoy. I need to see if I can find some of those pics and bring them to the Humphrey's gig on 14 June.
I know I'll be there, along with Stacey, who, in addition to being a goddess, loves Webb to pieces.

It also has three strat type pickups and a strat type tremelo system. Hardware is gold plated. Yes, the guitar is black. WW

It was so cool looking I almost bought one when they were in production, but the reviews on tone and playability were mixed, so I didn't buy one. I found a link that shows quite a few pics, and one even has John Jorgenson using one, which may dispel the bad reviews. Then again JJ could probably get better tone out of a cigar box guitar than most mere mortals could get from a top shelf PRS . Here's the link. http://www.hendrixguitars.com/Va699.htm
