I have already included the set list that was pretty much the same as the previous night. There was an opening three-piece-band act (Super Champs). For some reason, the bar Owner started the opening act at 10PM with Webb and crew coming on at 11PM. That's pretty late for old codgers like the Bodines, but we hung in there till about 2PM when Webb finished his second set. It was a beautiful stage and a large bar. It was a younger crowd than the previous night but I'd wager that Webb won some new fans in the younger demographic set by the band's performance. They were "smokin" as usual. Bob Williams is a great Plank-Spanker and fits very well with the Beatnecks. I sent in one picture of the band standing under the Bar's Marquee and next to a sign advertising that Pete Best is playing there next weekend. Overall it was a fantastic Born to See Wilder weekend, although we couldn't quite make it to Pittsburg for the Saturday show. These boys put some serious miles on that econoline which probably does not get 40 miles per gallon. Thanks guys for the great shows and for making us feel like part of Team Wilder for a couple nights! |
