Sorry another O/T post, but I'm excited about this.

A friend of mine and a friend of his started this charity Love Hope Strength Foundation, a not for profit organization that grants critical funding for cancer centers worldwide.
Through music events and climbs (treks) they raise money for quality cancer screening, treatment, medications and support for cancer centers. Both of these men are cancer survivors and since starting their foundation have provided several centers much needed screening equiment, other machinery and supplies.

Last October they climbed Mt. Everest and performed the highest concert on land and was able to provide a center in Nepal it's first mammography machine, a module for endoscopy procedures and their first Brachytheraphy machine (internal radiation) along with everyday supplies.

I have joined the team and this October it's a climb and fundraising called Peru Rocks. A 10 day musical journey through the Andes Mountains and hiking the ancient Inca trail. We will be supporting Peru's National Institute of Neoplastic Hospital. Each person involved must raise at least $5000 in donations to be able to participate.
