WEBB WILDER, "THE LAST OF THE FULL GROWN MEN," IS BACK!

LANDSLIDE RECORDS SET TO RE-RELEASE
IT CAME FROM NASHVILLE (DELUXE FULL GROWN EDITION)
WITH BONUS TRACKS SEPTEMBER 21

NEW WEBB WILDER ALBUM EXPECTED IN SPRING OF 2005.

ATLANTA, GA - Landslide Records has announced a September 21 release date for the Webb Wilder CD, It Came From Nashville (Deluxe Full Grown Edition), which will include six previously unreleased live bonus tracks. Originally released by Landslide in 1987 on vinyl with 12 tracks of both studio and live material, It Came From Nashville launched the career of the man (and the band) known as Webb Wilder, "The Last of the Full Grown Men." His credo of "work hard, rock hard, eat hard, sleep hard, grow big and wear glasses if you need 'em" became a rallying cry for the '80s and '90s generations of fans who became enthralled with Wilder's whole persona as well as the dynamic rock-fueled, hard core country and blues hybrid of music he and his band mates, The Beatnecks, performed on stages around the world.

When It Came From Nashville made its debut on CD several years later, four additional bonus studio tracks were added. It has since been out-of-print for many years. On It Came From Nashville (Deluxe Full Grown Edition), all 16 of the previous tracks are in re-mastered form here, as well as six new previously-unreleased live bonus tracks, all recorded at Nashville's Exit/In club in 1986, plus several bits of live dialogue that give some insight into the Webb Wilder mystique. Of special note on the bonus tracks are Wilder's versions of Paul Revere and the Raiders' "Steppin' Out," Little Jimmy Dickens' "Hole In My Pocket," the LeRoi Brothers' "Pretty Little Lights of Town" and the recording debut of "Webb's Theme," which made its premiere in Webb Wilder, Private Eye: The Saucers Reign, the 1986 short film which helped spawn the Webb Wilder phenomenon.

All tracks on It Came From Nashville (Deluxe Full Grown Edition) feature the original band: Webb Wilder on lead vocals and guitar, Donny Roberts (a.k.a. "The Twangler") on lead guitar, Denny "Cletus Wollensak" Blakely on bass and Jimmy Lester on drums (who now handles the drum kit for Los Straitjackets). Produced by R. S. Field, the CD includes a number of original songs composed by Field, as well as distinctive covers of Steve Earle's "The Devil's Right Hand," Roy Orbison's "Move On Down the Line," and Steve Forbert's "Samson and Delilah's Beauty Shop."

Webb Wilder will tour in the fall to support the new album's release. In addition, Landslide Records will release a brand new Webb Wilder studio album, produced by R.S. Field, in the spring of 2005.
